Product Management Associate

Location: Canandaigua, NY (Hybrid position)
What does a Product Management Associate at CNB do?
Responsible for supporting the product life cycle, from planning to implementation of assigned products and services. Consistent with the company’s strategic direction, collaborate with lines of business to define, prioritize, and execute tasks as part of the product requirements. Assist with creating strong synergy amongst cross functional teams, while complying with regulatory requirements and operating policies and procedures.
What is needed to be successful in this role?
- A B.S. or B.A. degree in related field required, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- A minimum of three (3) year experience in product, project management or product operations.
- Banking/financial services experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communicative and presentation skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Effective problem solving, highly organized, detail orientated, adept at documenting and archiving events/meetings
- Analytical thinker with ability to analyze disparate data with limited guidance
- Proven ability to learn new business concepts and skills quickly
- Ability to multi-task
What does success look like in this position?
- Assist in the development of timelines, product presentations and status reports to monitor projects.
- Archive and organize all product documentation such as disclosures, legal agreements and any other relevant reference materials.
- Develop supporting documentation for supported products and services such as product offering pricing and policies, user manuals, FAQs, and problem resolution documentation, etc.
- Analyze and interpret existing reports on product performance. Prepare, organize product reporting tools for Product Management that includes translation of complex information into simple data and graphic representation.
- Assist with creating and development of sales plan within assigned line of business.
- Categorize product/service ideas that are submitted internally/externally; keep priority list of ideas with input from Product Management.
- Contribute on business case development, annual roadmap process in partnership with the Product Manager.
- Participate in identifying/recommending operational and fraud management process improvements for assigned product line.
- Coordinate regular meeting scheduling.
- Field inquiries from Audit/Compliance/Risk and ensure responses or resolutions are reviewed by Product Management in a timely manner.
- Handle supplier/vendor inquiries and any Request for Proposals (RFPs) or pro forma requests.
- Maintain accurate records of product issues and prioritize their resolution throughout the process; follow up with appropriate departments needed in the resolution.
- Participate in the planning/analysis of system enhancements/upgrades/releases. Participate in cross functional project teams and tasks as needed.
- Support product functionality/feature updates, including system testing and validation.
- Support the implementation of product configuration/technical setting change recommendations.
- Work together with appropriate lines of business to pinpoint product/service issues to ensure they are resolved in a timely manner.
- Assist Product Manager with suppliers/partners and assist in managing specific vendor relationships including contract administration and monitoring service level agreements.
- Coordinate the purchase of outside competitive research and analyze data received for review with Product Management.

Compensation range- $26.35 – $31.60/hr.
The actual salary offered within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, level offered, and performance expectations.
