  • 2nd Shift: (Monday through Friday, 3 PM - 11:30 PM) Shift Differential: $2.00 per hour

Job Description:

The Parts Washer operates washing equipment to remove foreign matter from the surface of metal parts.  Maintains pressurized washer system.

Responsibilities:

  • Cleans metal parts of all foreign materials and prepares them for painting
  • Inspects parts for missing welds and other defects
  • Manually dries parts
  • Loads and unloads parts, tree rolls, spray cleaning area, and ovens
  • Maintains the cleaning system, including hoses and spray guns
  • Coordinates component flow with other departments
  • All other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to wear a full bodysuit with a respirator
  • Ability to use handle spraying equipment
  • Ability to communicate with the factory supervisor effectively
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with factory supervision

Work Environment:

  • Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to stand (75%); walk (20%); stoop, kneel, or crouch (5%), as required.
  • Ability to climb a portable ladder
  • Able to wear safety glasses and foot protection throughout the shift.
  • Able to wear hearing protectors (earplugs) throughout the shift while working in an environment with moderate noise levels.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. At Gorbel, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is: Min $17.00 - Max $22.44
