Overview
The new general education (core) curriculum at St. John Fisher University is a cutting-edge developmental model that aligns all courses to the University’s Outcomes of Written/Oral/Visual Communication, Inquiry & Analysis, Integrative & Applied Learning, Civic & Community Engagement, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Collaboration & Leadership, and Ethical Reasoning. The core curriculum offers openings for faculty teaching courses from the first year learning communities, data analysis, and research writing courses, through mid-level exploration courses through the lens of a number of varying disciplines. Successful applicants should have experience teaching writing, as well as other forms of communication from their area of expertise, and/or strong civic/community connections and commitment to fostering leadership and understanding of equity and inclusion. Positions will be filled on an ongoing, as needed basis to enhance our course offerings. Compensation is provided on a per course basis at rates set by the University, Part-time instructors will also have access to University facilities, be provided with instructional supplies, and be invited to faculty development opportunities. Evening course assignments may be available.
