Employment Support Specialist

This position is responsible for working with adults with mental health related issues to assist them in finding and maintaining competitive employment. 

Essential Job Duties:

• Networking and relationsip building with employers and potential employers around the ADA, job development, job carving, job coaching, and promoting job placement for program participants. 
• Accept referrals and work one-on-one with individuals to assist with their job needs.
• Provide basic assistance in understanding and enrollment in work incentive benefits.
• Work closely with Employment Team members in facilitating groups, coordinating caseloads, and organizing employment related functions.
• Assist with building appropriate employment related social skills such as developing appropriate dress habits, boundary setting, communication skills and stress management strategies. 
• Collaborate with community resources and make referrals as necessary. 

Education and skills required:

• Associate's degree
• Driver's license and reliable vehicle in order to meet with clients in the community
• At least 2 years experience in employment/employment placement related services
• Knowledge of community resources
• Experience with ACCES VR preferred
• Microsoft office (including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Calendar)
