Under general supervision, this position is responsible to complete and/or oversee variously accounts payable tasks related to accounting systems and records maintenance for all U.S. operations (i.e. payment approval review and audit, payment processing, and tax processing, etc.). This position is the lead payment processor for our team.


  • Point person for our payment run creation and processing
  • Lead projects (i.e. onboarding acquisitions and process improvements) and reporting (i.e. GRIR/Credits/Aging) in our AP organization
  • Process accurate vendor payments and cash activity for all payment types (i.e. check processing, EFTs, wire transfers, foreign exchange and auxiliary payments) in compliance with corporate policy and practice, escalating issues as required
  • Void payments and checks as required
  • Support expense reimbursement process as required
  • Complete A/P activities related to supplier master maintenance
  • Perform and/or review tax processing requirements including state excise tax, sales tax, use tax and 1099s
  • Support all A/P responsibilities required for period close including reconciliations, preparation of month-end accruals, journal entries and reporting
  • Assist in the maintenance of controls over accounting systems and records maintenance involved in the accounts payable function to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Support customer inquiries and payment related questions
  • Responsible to meet department requirements as defined in the Service Level Agreements
  • Support the documentation, reporting and achievement of monthly A/P metrics
  • Ensure process documentation is complete and accurate for all processes within the position
  • Support testing of systems and processes as needed


  • Bachelor’s / Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent strongly preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounting, or equivalent financial function preferred
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software; experience with SAP, EDI and EFT preferred
  • Strong communication skills required (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure


  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Sitting, working at desk/personal computer for extended periods of time
  • Primary work environment is professional corporate office
