Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Hours may vary if under a BCDR evaluation. Must be flexible to meet current and future business needs.

Primary Accountability

Provide guidance and expertise implementing best practices for ESL’s Business Continuity Program.  Ensure that all business recovery teams are trained in their respective roles for the broadest possible variety of emergency situations. 

Principal Accountabilities:

Business Continuity

  • Lead Corporate BCP Planning (ESL and its Subsidiaries)
  • Support and ensure BC Plans are updated in MaestroRS
  • Train BC Managers, Supervisors, and Sr. Managers on MaestroRS
  • Design and lead business unit exercises at both HQ & Farmington
  • In conjunction with management ensure that the BCF readiness for business unit response; supplies, logistics, seating and set-up.
  • Design and lead table top exercises based on training, program needs and requests

Disaster Recovery

  • Lead and support planning of annual big disaster recovery exercise titled “Big Bang”
  • Collaborate with Information Security and information technology to ensure infrastructure and network support timeframe and support objectives (RTO’s) & (RPO’s)
  • Ensure disaster recovery testing is documented and complete with follow-up items included
  • Annually review ESL’s IT Disaster Recovery Plan with Information Technology
  • Train and support business systems analysts and information technology with disaster recovery plan documentation and process
  • Meet quarterly with S&T management to review disaster recovery strategy, operational needs and roadmap

Crisis Management

  • Support the Governance Committee Lead during Crisis Management scenario acting as a liaison
  • Support the Marketing and Customer Experience team in the crisis communications plan
  • Support business unit managers in a BCDR response or when plans are activated
  • Lead and design crisis management table top exercises
  • Lead and design Cyber /  Data breach table top exercises
  • Update the data breach response plan with team leaders
  • Update and review the ESL Pandemic Plan
  • Lead the weather emergency response team during inclement weather
  • Lead branch downtime response through the collaboration with Manager and Member Services
  • Support the S&T group with incident management response
  • Collaborate with Information security on latest cyber best practices and knowledge to reduce risk to ESL

BCM Program Annual Reporting

  • Provide requested audit items to support the NCUA audit or any other audit
  • Review and create ESL’s  and Trust Services Critical Vendor BCDR reports and analysis
  • Provide BCDR risk assessment
  • Present BCDR state of readiness report to legal
  • Create the Business Continuity Board Report for Ops Committee
  • Develop a 3-5 year plan for the BCM Program
  • Review ESL Critical Vendors BCDR

Vendor Management

  • Serve as BCDR approver on the Technology Architecture Review (TAR) committee for new software and vendors for ESL
  • Act as the Liaison to MaestroRS supporting the BC plans and provide training to Business Unit managers on the Service Now applications both mobile and desktop
  • Update documents stored in Venminder to support BCDR applications
  • Act as the relationship liaison to the Strong Museum 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required or 4 years if equivalent directly related experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience with Business Continuity Management, Emergency Management, Incident Management, and/or Crisis Management
  • Risk management experience preferred
  • 3rd Party/Vendor Management experience preferred
  • DRII (Disaster Recovery Institute International) certifications preferred
  • BCI (Business Continuity Institute) certifications preferred
  • ISO (International Standards Organization) certifications preferred
