Description Overview

The Sr. Manager, Benefits & Wellbeing is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive global benefits and wellbeing programs to support the overall health, financial security and productivity our 17,000 employees in the US, India and Europe. This role ensures benefits programs are competitive, aligned with Paychex business objectives and responsive to the diverse needs of our global workforce. The Sr. Manager, Benefits is key member of the Total Rewards leadership team responsible for delivering cohesive and impactful total rewards strategies. The Sr. Manager, Benefits & Wellbeing works closely with senior leadership, HR, internal partners and business units to deliver benefits and wellbeing solutions that attract, retain, and motivate top talent.


Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a global benefits and well-being strategy that supports employee health, wellness, and financial security while aligning with the company’s business goals and values.
  • Program Design and Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of all employee benefits programs, including health and wellness plans, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance, leave policies, and voluntary benefits.
  • Well-being Initiatives: Lead the development and promotion of well-being programs that address physical, mental, emotional, and financial well-being. Create initiatives that foster a culture of health and work-life balance across the organization.
  • Global Governance: Ensure consistency and compliance in benefits programs across all regions, with particular attention to the US, where the majority of employees are based. Adapt global programs to meet local needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with benefits providers, brokers, and consultants. Negotiate contracts, monitor service delivery, and ensure the effective management of vendor performance.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of benefits and well-being professionals. Mentor and develop team members, foster a collaborative environment, and ensure the effective delivery of benefits services.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with HR Business Partners, Finance, Legal, and other key stakeholders to align benefits and well-being initiatives with broader organizational objectives and to address the needs of a diverse workforce.
  • Data Analytics and Reporting: Utilize data and analytics to assess the effectiveness of benefits programs and well-being initiatives. Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on program utilization, employee satisfaction, and cost management.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the benefits and well-being budget, ensuring cost-effective program management while maintaining high-quality offerings for employees.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all benefits programs comply with legal and regulatory requirements across all regions. Proactively manage risks related to benefits administration, including plan design, vendor selection, and employee communication.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
  • Master's Degree - Preferred
  • 8 years of experience in Benefits administration experience.
  • 4 years of experience in Experience in leadership role(s).
  • Strong experience managing global benefits and well-being programs within a large organization.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.

Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $ $110,600 - $173,800 annually. Please remember that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience, which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
