STATUS: Full Time

LOCATION: Unity Hospital

DEPARTMENT: PACU

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, Day/Evening, plus on-call which includes overnights & weekends

ABOUT THE HOSPITAL & UNIT:

Unity Hospital is a 471-bed community hospital in the town of Greece. After a four-year total renovation in 2014, Unity is now the only Monroe County hospital to feature all private patient rooms and free parking. Unity offers a broad range of specialty centers, including the Golisano Restorative Neurology & Rehabilitation Center, the Charles J. August Joint Replacement Center, and the August Family Birth Place.

The PACU at Unity Hospital is 20-bed critical care unit providing care for patients who are recovering from surgical procedures.

ATTRIBUTES

  • Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Registered Nurse license in New York State.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • 1+ years of critical care RN experience preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Patient Satisfaction. Solicit and respond to patient feedback to improve service and processes that will enhance the patient experience
  • Medication Administration & Reporting. Administer medication and give/receive relevant reports, both written and verbal
  • Documentation. Ensure concise, pertinent and complete patient care documentation using computerized medical record process

EDUCATION:

  • BS: Nursing (Required)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
  • BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)

PAY RANGE: $35.75 - $48.00
