SUMMARY
As a Youth Apprentice, you participate in a comprehensive internship program that introduces you to a wide range of clinical and health experiences. This is a paid internship that offers you an opportunity to be assigned to one of our clinical/non-clinical departments during your senior/junior year of high school – giving you a glimpse of potential careers in healthcare. Please note that students must attend RCSD schools or charter schools or be a student of the urban/suburban program.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Varied. Depending on department
- Patient Care. Provide direct and indirect patient care activities, facilitating wherever needed; work with patients in relation to nutritional, skin integrity, elimination and hygiene needs; take patient vital signs
- Admission & Discharge. Assist with the admission, discharge and transfer of patients
- Clerical Management. Maintain patient charts as needed
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
PAY RANGE: $15.25 - $15.25
