The expected rate of pay for this position is a fixed base salary, in addition a variable pay earning opportunity. Compensation offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education and, where applicable, licenses or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to your base rate of pay and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates may be eligible to receive cash or equity-based incentives based on the role and performance.


Position Title: Commercial & Industrial Banker IV, Regional President

Reports To: C&I Executive, Regional President

Department: Commercial & Industrial

FLSA Status: Exempt

Purpose: The C&I Banker IV, Regional President, is responsible for cultivating external relationships with Centers of Influence and Business owners in the local community for mid to large clients. This position is responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of new and existing Commercial clients and executing strategic initiatives to expand market share and achieve revenue targets.

Essential Functions:

  1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and achieve revenue objectives in alignment with overall company goals.
  2. Business Development: Lead efforts to identify and pursue new business opportunities, expand market presence and grow the C&I loan portfolio.
  3. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationship with key clients, understanding their financial needs and providing customized banking solutions.
  4. Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and mitigate risks associates with lending activities.
  5. Performance Monitoring: Analyze key performance metrics and financial data to assess the effectiveness or strategies and initiatives and make recommendations for improvement.
  6. Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape and market dynamics to identify opportunities and threats, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  7. Cross-functional Collaboration: collaborate with other departments such as credit, treasury management, and wealth management to deliver comprehensive banking solutions to clients.
  8. Community Engagement: Represent the bank in the local community, participate in industry events, and support community initiatives to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
  9. Proactively work to generate additional non-interest income through opening new deposit accounts, cash management products, merchant card services, insurance, wealth management, benefit programs and other financial services from prospects and existing customers.
  10. Manages, maintains, and services a large loan portfolio that meets established lending requirements and maximizes profitability with acceptable risk.
  11. Reviews customer application documentation and financial data acting as first line of quality control prior to submitting to underwriting by utilizing knowledge of credit risk process and ensures that all relevant credit operating and compliance policies and procedures are followed. Prepares clear and concise opportunity and/or transaction memorandums to be delivered with credit requests for approval.
  12. Demonstrate the standards and principles of the Five Star Bank experience in every interaction with internal and external customers, associates, and stakeholders. Incorporate the high-performance behaviors of teamwork, leading by example, and service in every facet of work.

Job Related Qualifications – Education and Prior Experience:

Required:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred
  • Prior Experience: 10+ years of Commercial Lending Sales and Business Development

  2. In-depth knowledge of banking products, services and regulations, particularly related to C&I lending.

  5. Local market knowledge and the ability to develop, retain and expand relationships with Centers of Influence.
  6. Knowledge of commercial, credit, and underwriting policy and procedures.
