Oxbo International, is a leader in providing harvesting solutions to niche agricultural markets. The company currently has an opportunity for a Precision Agriculture Systems Engineer who will work on strategic projects for the organization.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the Global Engineering Team, Suppliers, Marketing and Customers to develop specifications and meet market requirements
  • Work with Global Product and Technologies Engineering teams in the development and integration of Precision Agriculture systems on Ploeger Oxbo products
  • Create system electrical schematics and document wiring harnesses
  • Develop and execute test plans for system performance validation
  • Participate in Critical Design Reviews, Failure Mode Effects Analysis, and Functional Safety reviews
  • Support investigation on current production Precision Agriculture systems as they relate to warranty
  • Maintain supplier relationships to ensure full visibility to future hardware/software products
  • Develop training for internal service technicians

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with an emphasis on agricultural or electrical disciplines.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional team meetings with clear agendas and deliverables
  • The ability to work within a multi discipline team environment
  • Excellent problem solving & troubleshooting skills
  • Passion for agriculture, social impact, and sustainable food production
  • May require up to 35% Travel (some international)

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Prior experience with Guidance Systems, application rate control, yield mapping, telematics, and other Precision Agriculture technologies
  • Expertise with agricultural control systems, electrical systems, components, and ISOBUS
  • Familiarity with Precision Agriculture regulations, best practices, and standards
  • Familiarity with embedded software development using C/C++, ladder, or model-based programing (i.e. MATLAB/Simulink)
