The Position

The Financial Analyst will support monthly financial reviews, forecasting, and annual operating plans across Creation Technologies. This role will partner with a team of highly skilled professionals across the company to drive efficient processes, generate valuable insights and produce effective communication. The role will be involved in enhancing the overall Finance environment, including driving change through process optimization within Finance, assisting with the management and development of the planning and reporting system, along with providing planning and analysis support.

This position reports directly into the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager.  The role will be based in either our Rochester location in Newark, New York.

 

Specific Responsibilities

  • Assist Finance Lead in supporting BU CFTs on monthly financial reviews supporting $100M+ in annual revenue, including coordinating activities across functions, businesses, and groups, developing a thorough understanding of results against forecast.

  • Understand customer profiles and market dynamics impacting pricing of products

  • Partner with other finance disciplines to enable business performance: controllership, analytics, systems, and continuous improvement

  • Support preparation of the consolidated financial forecasts and associated analysis, working with site and regional functions. 

  • Support maintenance and development of the Financial Planning and Reporting System (Adaptive Planning), including partnering with stakeholders around the business in solving problems using the system.

  • Liaise with the business to understand the user needs and translate findings to continuously develop an improved forecast model.

  • Work with the business to understand reporting needs and develop reports for internal and external audiences.

  • Analyze the impact on the company’s forecasts and processes of non-routine events and transactions such as customer contracts changes, disengagement, new business etc. as directed

  • Assist in activities relating to process improvement including information gathering, stakeholder analysis and engagement, timeline management and overall communications

  • Other ad hoc requests as required.

 

Skills and Competencies

  • 3+ years of relevant financial experience.

  • Experience working with a SaaS CPM Solution such as Adaptive Planning, Hyperion, etc.  Oracle experience is a plus.

  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • A team player who is collaborative and receptive to ideas from others and works effectively across functions to identify and resolve critical issues.

  • Strong continuous improvement mindset.

  • A creative, yet pragmatic, problem solver who is hands-on and detail-oriented.

  • Experience in a global manufacturing and supply chain environment is a plus. Standard costing environment preferred.

  • Understanding of financial budgeting and forecasting concepts and modeling.

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree

 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $65,000 - $80,000 per year; a shift differential may also be provided depending on the work hours. Full-time employees are also eligible for performance-based bonuses and benefits.  This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, location, and shift.
