Leading a team of engineering professionals in a customer-focused team environment, the ideal candidate will have a solid background in engineering leadership and project management. The candidate will possess the required skills in coaching, team building and effective decision-making. A strong background in electronics manufacturing processes is required.

The successful candidate will become a member of the business unit leadership team in Newark. This person will also become a member of the company-wide engineering team developing strategic initiatives.

The key areas of responsibility include:

  • Participate as a member of the Rochester Leadership Team

  • Span Manufacturing (Product), Process, Test, and Engineering Solutions organizations

  • New Product Introduction – prototypes and large-scale product transfers

  • DFx Analysis – ensuring manufacturability of new designs and efficient production processes

  • Product Cost Reduction

  • Equipment specifications and process validation

 

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Leadership and development of all Engineering teams

  • Oversight of all NPI activities including DFx

  • Budgeting and resource planning for the Business Unit Engineering team including capital spend

  • Provide expertise, training, and support to the Engineering functions

  • Determine all Engineering project priorities

  • Support our growth while continuing to build and lead a strong team of people with cross-functional responsibilities

  • Provide support for key customer accounts including developing relations with some customer senior leaders and resolving customer issues

  • Responsible for supporting the customer requirements for RoHS, Conflict Minerals and other developing Environmental standards

  • Coach team members and support the Creation Core Values - developing a strong culture

  • Live and encourage Creation’s culture and values

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred)

  • Strong experience in customer relations

  • Project Management experience (10+ years)

  • Electronics manufacturing experience (15+ years)

  • Leadership experience (10+ years)

  • Leading Leaders (5+ years)

  • Experience with Aerospace, Military and Tech Industrial products

  • Experience with Medical devices – FDA an asset

  • Working knowledge and experience with ERP systems, shop floor control systems and product lifecycle management systems

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.  Experience with rapid change models such as Kaizen

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Driven by a high degree of integrity and professional standards

  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and thrives on autonomy and the challenges of continuous improvement

 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $150,000 - $180,000 per year; a shift differential may also be provided depending on the work hours. Full-time employees are also eligible for performance-based bonuses and benefits. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, location, and shift.
