This part-time position offers flexibility and the opportunity to positively impact people's lives.

While we offer companionship, we also do various household tasks.  This is a "hands-on" job.  You must be willing to perform light housework (including, but not limited to, vacuuming, dusting, and mopping) as needed.

  • Highly competitive hourly rate
  • 10 - 15 hours weekly
  • Make your own schedule (business hours are M-F, 9 am - 5 pm)

Essential Requirements:

  • The ability to work with diverse types of people who are at varying life stages.
  • The capacity to be self-directed and make quick decisions.
  • The aptitude to efficiently organize and problem-solve different types of situations.
  • The willingness to do whatever is necessary to get the job done.
  • The understanding that the smallest tasks can have the biggest impact.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift/move 25 lbs.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

The work of an Everyday Hands, Inc. Personal Assistant makes a difference in the life of someone who would like to maintain their independence. Sometimes you hold a hand, and sometimes your hands get dirty.  You must be adaptable to each situation.

                                                              Roles as Assistants

  • Light housekeeping
  • Errands & shopping for or with clients
  • Transportation & accompaniment to appointments
  • Organizing
  • Decluttering
  • Packing/Unpacking (no moving of furniture)
  • Laundry
  • Simple meal preparation
  • Change bed linens
  • Companion care
  • Wellness visits
  • Walking Companion
  • Support hobbies
  • Accept packages & deliveries
  • Light administrative tasks
  • Accompany to events (weddings, funerals, etc.)
  • Med reminders
  • Pet care (including clean up)
  • Appointment scheduling
  • Respect clients' choices and comfort levels

What We Don't Do:

  • Any hands-on care (bathing, showering, toileting, diaper changing)
  • Medication set-up or administration
  • Deep cleaning
  • Hoarding situations
We will support, but not enforce, a client to do something they do not want to do.
  • Climb ladders
  • Lift over 25 lbs.
  • Technology support
  • Yardwork

 

Salary21.00 - 23.00 Hour
