General Job Summary:
This position involves performing mechanical repairs on all production and non-production equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Follows all safety processes and procedures in accordance with the job and Company policy.
- Interprets machine operation manuals and identifies problem sources.
- Disassembles, removes, repairs, and/or replaces defective components on manufacturing equipment.
- Specifies and quotes replacement items for manufacturing equipment and facilities.
- Performs preventative maintenance, including lubricating and cleaning of manufacturing equipment.
- Performs simple repairs on buildings and grounds (windows, fences, doors, etc.) and plumbing.
- Constructs simple facility improvement projects (door frames, shelving, partitions, etc.).
- Assists with other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Education
High School Diploma: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
Related Experience: 2-3 years of related experience or training.
Other Requirements
Skills: Ability to read blueprints, interpret operation manuals; understanding of manufacturing equipment and facilities; ability to use hand and power tools and mechanical testing equipment; welding, machining, and plumbing experience are helpful.

Intermediate Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
