Responsible for assisting in the coordination of behavioral services for people supported, as identified through close work with the person and their support team. Evaluates specific challenge areas and offers recommendations and positive approaches through written documents and direct interactions, to assist with behavior modification and development of new skills that will enhance the person’s quality of life. Provides direct supervision and consultation on the implementation of Behavior Support Plans, Medication Monitoring Plans and Behavior Guidelines. Supports across programs as assigned.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience
Minimum Education & Experience
Master’s Degree in clinical or treatment field of psychology, social work, school psychology, or related human services field, NYS license in Mental Health Counseling or National Board certification in behavior analysis (BCBA). Two to three years experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred. Training and experience in assessment techniques and behavior support plan development preferred.
