WHAT WE NEED

The Supervisor Facilities at our corporate location is responsible for all aspects of office building functions and guarantees the quality and upkeep of facilities and grounds. They accomplish this through working closely with Maintenance, Health, and Safety, Environmental and Sustainability, the Office Manager, and performing work firsthand or leveraging external vendors to identify repairs and projects and manage them through to completion. The role also provides daily direction and leadership to the office Facilities Technicians (custodial).

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Leads identification of corporate office maintenance needs, service vendors, and ensure completion of work to BRF standards of quality and safety.
  • Makes determination, case by case, if work to be performed can be accomplished personally (i.e. small projects such as touch up paint, furniture moves or repair, light bulbs) or requires outside service engagement.
  • Act as contact for municipalities related to fire, gas and electric, township and county connections.
  • Responsible for identification and scheduling any reoccurring building outside services such as: pest control, landscaping and weed control, rug cleaning services, parking lot repair and sealing, roof, or exterior building repairs including warehouse dock doors.
  • Responsible for identifying infrastructure construction needs and projects, providing input to capital plan as applicable, and once approved, ensuring completion of services.
  • Partner with IT vendor for support of hardware moves or changes (moving desks, dropping cables).
  • Manage all service scheduling and correspondence with American First Aid and First Aid kits, Fire Extinguishers and AED, on quarterly basis.
  • Track work orders and ensure work follows established service and quality standards for completion.
  • Order required supplies through standard procurement processes.
  • Responsible for creating and keeping current any documentation related to facility cleaning, maintenance, and repair processes. Will need to produce documentation during internal and external audits.
  • Manages employee performance by clearly defining job responsibilities and standards of performance; tracking progress against goals; providing clear, thorough, timely feedback; and addressing performance problems and issues promptly.
  • Ensures an effective learning environment by coaching employees, orchestrating learning opportunities, and providing relevant, high-impact feedback.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • High School diploma or GED required. A.A.S./A.S. or equivalent from two-year college or technical school highly preferred, but not required.
  • Five (5+) or more years of experience in building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry.
  • Prior supervision of staff is highly preferred, including hiring, performance management, career development support.
  • Prior experience in construction project management is preferred.
  • Experience managing contractual relationships with vendors and successful management of their work product against terms and conditions of contracts.

At BRF, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $75,000 and $87,000 per year. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
