JK Findings is a global jewelry component manufacturer and wholesaler located in Rochester, NY. In our Upstate New York headquarters, we house some of the most advanced equipment available to produce new and unique components for the jewelry industry.
We have an immediate opening for a skilled Maintenance Mechanic. This position is responsible for minimizing downtime of production equipment by performing regular and emergency maintenance as needed on all equipment. Maintenance to include installation, preventative maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs. This position will also serve as a liaison between department supervisors and the Tool & Die technicians regarding die repair and maintenance to facilitate timely repairs.
Additional responsibilities will include:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute repairs and preventive maintenance for production equipment.
- Follow industry best practices and safety policies such as LOTO procedure and SOP's.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date maintenance records.
- Coordinate delivery and installation of new equipment.
- Performing responsibilities with little or no supervision or instruction.
Required Skills/Education/Experience needed to be successful in the position:
- Proven technical skills in industrial electric and mechanical maintenance
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery, and hydraulics.
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.
- Excellent communication skills
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to maintain written repair and preventive maintenance records.
- Certificate or degree applicable to trade/strong mechanical aptitude/knowledge.
This is a full-time position with benefits with normal working hours of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. M-F.

According to the New York Pay Transparency law, pay range for this job is $30-40/hour with bonus potential. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
