Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSE
Serves as a TAR Data Entry Coordinator for the research lab of Dr. Williams, which focuses on acute and late effects of cancer and its treatment among children, adolescents, and young adults with cancer. The person will help with various tasks related to study design and management including but not limited to preparing study protocols and relevant documents, consenting patients, data abstraction/entry, managing data, and produce tabular and graphical displays of data. The person may also participate in disseminating study findings through preparation of conference abstracts and/or peer reviewed manuscripts. Ability to multi-task and troubleshoot problems is essential.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Data collection; assists study coordinator in screening for eligible patients, consenting patients, performing/collecting study assessments, and creating relevant study documents (e.g. recruitment fliers).
- Data entry and management; assist the PI and study coordinator in data abstraction from medical records as well as data entry from study forms and data checking.
- Data curation and analysis; identifies, reviews, and synthesizes relevant literature, conducts statistical analyses and generates graphical representations of data
- Disseminates research findings; assists the PI in the preparation of conference abstracts and or peer reviewed manuscripts.
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma and 1 year of related experience required
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Data entry, data analysis, verbal and written communication preferred.
- Microsoft Office suite, database and web searches preferred.
- Able to work and problem solve independently preferred.
