Hours:

40 hours/week

The contact center is open Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Must be flexible to meet current and future business needs. 

Schedule:

This position offers a set schedule, Monday – Saturday with a day off during the week, and every Sunday off. It is a hybrid role that is remote eligible for up to 40% of the time.

The contact center is located at our beautiful ESL headquarters located in Rochester, NY and offers an open office environment filled with natural lighting.

Pay:

$18.90/hr with opportunity to advance to a level II at $21.17/hr

ESL has an immediate opportunity to join our purpose driven, inclusive and people oriented organization as a Customer Care Specialist (Telebanker). In this role, you will deliver a positive experience over the phone by supporting our members with a variety of financial inquiries, transactions, and requests. You will work as part of a team to achieve department goals.

What you bring with you:

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or High School equivalency diploma required
  • One year in sales/service in the financial services, retail, or comparable industry
  • Maintains a high degree of dependability and punctuality
  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • Prior financial services industry experience preferred
  • The ability to create rapport and establish mutually beneficial relationships with customers, peers, and support partners   
  • Ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment, with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to maintain positivity and professionalism under pressure
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Comfortable supporting customers requiring assistance with ESL Digital Channels
  • Confidence to recommend products and services that help customers achieve their financial goals
  • Demonstrate alignment with ESL’s Core Values, mission, vision, and Purpose to help our community thrive and prosper
