Function of Position:
Learning Support Systems (LSS) is seeking an aide to support the day-to-day operations of Course-Based
Learning initiatives. Aides will gain in-depth knowledge of office operations and course-based learning
program development. Under the supervision of the Coordinator for Course-Based Learning Assistance,
the aide will support the strategic and creative coordination of course-based learning programs, including
but not limited to Supplemental Instruction and Embedded support.
Examples of Duties & Responsibilities:
Primary Functions:
Projects include, but are not limited to maintaining the office space and all materials that must be accessible to all tutors and SI Leaders, which may require photocopying, filing, and other clerical tasks as assignedDevelopment and administration of training and professional development for SI Leaders and embedded tutorsCreation and tracking of surveys to assess programsConducting SI Leader session observationsManagement of Course-Based Learning content for YouTube and Instagram accountsData management, including entry and documentationAttendance at staff and/or department meetings as deemed appropriateResearch development regarding best practices across various arenas of course-based learning and academic support servicesCoordinating with campus events to table; conduct general marketing for SI and course based learning; and work to continuously recruit SI Leaders and embedded tutorsOther duties and special projects as assigned by supervisorMCC Expectations:

sensitive to and respectful of all staff, while sustaining a willingness to learn new skills and contribute to
the innovation and ongoing development of academic support services at Monroe Community College.Preferred Qualifications:
Candidate should uphold a positive attitude under pressure, display a strong work ethic, and enjoy working with a diverse student population.
