The Pressman operates printing presses, monitors production, and ensures high-quality printed output. This includes setting up the press, performing maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and managing workflow to meet production deadlines

Set up and operate printing presses to produce high-quality print jobs, following specifications such as layout, color, and format.

Prepare press materials including loading inks, substrates, and plates, and adjusting settings to meet job requirements.

Monitor production quality by regularly checking the printed material for clarity, color consistency, and alignment.

Troubleshoot printing issues such as color or alignment discrepancies, resolving them promptly to minimize downtime.

Perform routine maintenance on printing equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts to ensure peak performance.

Collaborate with pre-press and post-press teams to ensure seamless workflow and address any print job issues.

Maintain records of production, materials used, and maintenance activities.

Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Experience with printing equipment such as offset and digital.

High School Education (Trades Preferred)

5 years of printing experience including process printing, flexographic and offset.

Attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards.

Technical knowledge of press operations and troubleshooting.

Physical stamina to operate and monitor machines for extended periods including the ability to lift 60 lbs.

Problem-solving skills to address issues quickly and effectively.

Basic computer skills for press operation.

Knowledge of color theory.

Willingness to learn and perform in all printing and converting areas as required.
