We are seeking candidates interested in part-time paid internship opportunities starting in January 2023 in either Rochester or Ithaca, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Training on and becoming proficient in our software (CaseWare and CCH Axcess).
- Preparing 1099s, W-2s, Individual income tax returns and extensions using a highly technical paperless computer system.
- Gaining a basic understanding of how tax work flows through the office.
- Improving basic organization and planning skills.
Requirements:
Students must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate accounting program and will be in their Junior or Senior year during time of internship. Minimum 3.25 GPA is required. Students must be returning to school to be eligible. Strong verbal and written communication skills along with strong organizational skills are required. Functional knowledge of the MS Office Suite; Word and Excel are required. The ideal candidate must be able to meet deadlines, be proactive, have solid multi-tasking skills, and have strong analytical ability. Qualified applicants must be involved in a broad range of extracurricular activities; community service, campus involvement and/or employment experience that supports our core values of the firm.
