Beyond TalentEdge has a direct hire opportunity for a Project Manager with Engineer Support. Our client is a multi-site manufacturing company specializing in the Industrial, Medical, and Defense markets. Our client is utilizing the latest technology to enhance the job functions and speed to market to capture more business.

The Project Manager will be responsible for the management of high profile and complex projects from start to finish. This role will also work with employees on the shop floor to improve efficiency, safety, and quality of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities and Duties (include but not limited to):

  • Spearheads C.I.P. to optimize workflow in both engineering and manufacturing. (automation)

  • Comprehends specifications called out on drawings.

  • Understands ISO 9001 workflow requirements and follow such procedures.

  • Builds B.O.M. on job routers.

  • Reviews customer supplied purchase orders and contracts.

  • Orders specialty material, hardware, and finishing supplies pertaining to the job or project assigned.

  • Leads post and pre-production reviews on defense projects during first run or after encountering issues.

  • Provides support as Engineering Manager back up.

  • Interprets customer supplied drawings and determine the best method of manufacturing considering the equipment available and the current manufacturing schedule.

  • Utilizes 3D CAD software as it applies to a variety of duties in this role

  • Program machines. (laser, turret)

  • Utilizes Mastercam, SolidWorks, Radan, Epicor, or similar software when required, to communicate effectively to the shop floor.

  • Maintains revision control of manufactured parts using our ERP system.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related discipline

  • 3+ years of experience in Project Management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Support cost reduction & continual improvement activities.

  • Analyze raw data and generate usable reports.

  • Knowledge of print reading and understanding of common GD&T practices.

  • Understanding of common sheet metal fabrication practices.

  • Knowledge of materials and their chemical and physical properties.

Physical Requirements/Abilities (If necessary)

  • Position may require lifting up to 50 pounds, prolonged periods of standing, and occasional bending or squatting.

  • Candidates should be able to comfortably perform physical tasks associated with the role, ensuring a safe and productive work environment.

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.

Salary & Benefits:

$80,000 - $90,000
