Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Marketing Manager to develop, implement, track, and optimize marketing campaigns across various channels. The ideal candidate will use a strong grasp of current marketing/communications strategies and tools to lead integrated marketing campaigns from concept to execution.

Essential Job functions

  • Working closely with internal and external partners, develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, audience acquisition and engagement.
  • Manage and optimize digital channels including website, email and social media, with particular focuses on tactics including Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Pay per Click (PPC), and display advertising campaigns.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report internally on performance metrics and KPIs that measure the effectiveness of digital marketing efforts, and provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams, including content creators, designers, and developers, to produce high-quality deliverables that align with marketing objectives.
  • Identify new opportunities for growth and innovation in digital marketing, testing and implementing new strategies and tools as appropriate.
  • Lead and support the planning and execution of marketing and communications projects that support Hillside’s short-, medium- and long-range goals; partner with the Foundation team on stewardship efforts and the development of philanthropic collateral; and participate in and/or lead the development of recurring projects including the Hillside Impact Report and Outcomes Reports
  • Contribute to long-range marketing communications & marketing plans, including the development and maintenance of a comprehensive communications calendar; limited budget responsibilities, including forecasting and maintaining project-based expenses within each fiscal year; participate in ongoing strategic assessment of project performance to ensure ROI goals are determined and realized
  • Communicate, support, and link Hillside's mission, vision, values, goals, and strategies to everyday work and establish clear, meaningful, challenging, and attainable objectives and expectations that are aligned with those of the organization.
  • Align the right work with the right people; delegate tasks according to people’s strengths and interests.
  • Ensures staff has the skills and resources to be successful.
  • Provide staff with coaching, training and opportunities for growth to improve their skills. Treats staff fairly and consistently. Shares accountability when delegating and involves staff in setting their performance goals.
  • Ensure Hillside policies, procedures and all applicable governmental laws/regulations/guidelines are followed. Make decisions and have the authority to implement decisions in conjunction with the leadership structure of the given area of responsibility.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing/communications, including significant experience in managing projects to completion and marketing/communications/fundraising for a complex nonprofit organization

Special Requirements:

  • Unrestricted, valid NYS driver’s license for minimum of 1 year with a clean driving record and minimum insurance coverage that meets agency standards.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences within a diverse organization
  • Demonstrate professional project management, writing/editing/proofreading and presentation skills required, along with exceptional attention to detail
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skill with a wide range of marketing communications tools (web, social media, print, video) used to market to internal and external audiences
  • Knowledge of best practices and professional trends in social media channels; familiarity with social media analytics, and marketing analytics in general, strongly preferred
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office, WordPress and email hosting platforms (e.g., Raisers Edge NXT) required; some graphic design experience highly preferred, including knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and basic photography/videography/video editing

  • The following physical demands are required:
    • Occasional sitting (up to 4 hours)
    • Occasional standing (up to 1 hour)

    • Continuous balancing (up to 8 hours)
    • Occasional balancing, bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching forward or down, reaching overhead, running, and twisting (up to 2.5 hours)
    • Weekly lifting up to 50 lbs. (community-based staff may be required to lift an empty wheelchair weighing up to 50 lbs.), 10-15 lbs. on a daily basis
    • Weekly carrying up to 55 lbs. approximately 10-100 ft., 10-15 lbs. on a daily basis
  • Manual dexterity is required, including the frequent ability to grasp in both hands and continuous use of fine manipulation skills in both hands (approximately 1-2.5 hrs.)
  • Occasional exposure to dust, fumes, gases or chemicals is apparent.
  • Ability to change positions as needed

$58,500 Minimum Rate, $90,800 Maximum Rate, based on experience.
