Beyond TalentEdge is currently recruiting for several Full Time Patient Unit Secretary. This will be working in a local healthcare facility.

Multiple Shifts - days, nights, evenings with rotating weekend schedule
Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Maintain accurate information for admissions, discharges and transfers

Complete requests for equipment and supplies

Schedule appointments for patients
-
Work closely with nurses and other departments

Customer Service. Manage incoming calls while providing necessary information; greeting patients providing direction as needed and scheduling patient appointments

Registration & Verification. Complete the registration process for patients as defined by departmental policy; verify insurance eligibility/coverage and obtain necessary precertification/authorization when applicable

Billing & Payments. Collect and process payments when applicable
-
Other duties as assigned.
ATTRIBUTES
-
2 year degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred
-
Intermediate computer skills
-
Excellent customer service and communication skills
