Job Title: Clinical Pharmacist
Department: Inpatient Pharmacy
Location: Rochester General Hospital
Hours Per Week: Per Diem
Schedule: 8.5 hour shifts, day/evening/weekend shifts. Varying shifts, depending on department need

SUMMARY:

The Clinical Pharmacist provides distributive and clinical pharmacy services in a professional and competent manner to assure rational and appropriate drug therapy for all patients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pharmaceutical Management: Provide specialized pharmaceutical services to improve drug usage and therapeutic outcomes; advise providers on issues concerning drug therapy, side effects and dose management.
  • Leadership & Relationship Development: Mentor/supervise pharmacists in training; coordinate the activities of assigned pharmacy technicians; maintain liaison relationship with medical and nursing staff.
  • Evaluation: Conduct and evaluate medication histories, assess compliance and suggest modifications.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of Pharmacy.
  • Licensure as a Pharmacist in New York State.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 4 years of pharmacy practice experience in a hospital setting.
  • Strong analytical, computer, and communication skills with an excellent attention to detail.

EDUCATION:

  • BS: Pharmacy (Required)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

  • LPharm - Licensed Pharmacist - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

PAY RANGE: $120,000.00 - $165,000.00
