Technical Lead, Full Stack Engineer

Job Description

Job Duties:

• Produce high quality code that satisfies both the business functional requirements as well as the non-functional requirements. (5%)

• Participate in product planning sessions with Product Managers, Product Analysts, Technical Analysts and product engineering team members to analyze business/technology requirements and outline the proposed technology solution. (15%)

• Mentor, educate and lead existing team members in new technologies and best practices within product engineering. (10%)

• Work closely with solutions architects and product management team in delivering highly impactful capabilities and set the standard for how code is delivered within the application space. (15%)

• Spearhead the creation of organization standards, procedures, and best practices to grow CBI IT and ensure software quality and faster delivery. This includes CI/CD processes as well as orchestration of applications to cloud providers. (15%)

• Work closely with other developers, leads and implementation partners/vendors including both onshore and offshore partners to ensure software designs and solutions deliver the intended business value. (5%)

• Contribute to project estimating activities, design reviews, so that solution and architecture of the projects is aligned with longer term strategy and standards. (5%)

• Implement and propose new standards and development guidelines, design recommendations, patterns, best practices for reuse and acceleration against web and mobile applications. (10%)

• Identify metrics and key results against development processes to improve the efficiency of the teams overall output. (5%)

• Create enhancements to release management and change management processes for changes to business applications. (5%)

• Lead a fully remote team across multiple regions. (10%)

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Computer Science or closely related field.

• 5 years of software engineering experience, with 2 years of experience leading engineering teams.

Must have experience with:

• Programming languages used in full stack development.

• Software development lifecycle in a Scrum environment.

• Working in a Scrum team with rapid iterations of products.

• Delivering web or mobile applications.

• Libraries/frameworks within full stack web development.

• Web architectures.

• Implementing and designing proper testing strategies across multiple technologies.

• Applying and managing software solutions, accurately estimating and scoping development tasks.

• REST services, JSON objects and secure coding concepts.

• Frontend technologies or frameworks (Angular, React, and Vue).

May telecommute and report as needed to headquarters in Victor, NY.

Salary Range for this position is $112,507- $169,900
