Position Summary

The Product Manager role is ultimately responsible for the Product that is developed within their business unit, setting the vision for the product, and developing the roadmap for achieving it. Defining high level features that are key to the Product's success to ensure they deliver the expected business value.

Tax Product Manger works with a wide variety of internal stakeholders — including Finance, Operations, Planning, Logistics, Tax, and IT teams — in the full range of the product development cycle. You will leverage your industry, technical and functional experience to define and support the evolution of applications by leading internal Product and IT partner teams to deliver solutions with focus on global trends, innovation and leading practices that generates efficiencies and business value aligned with strategic corporate goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an excellent understanding of the product roadmap by working closely with business stakeholders, evaluating user feedback/needs, and looking at technology trends
  • Source additional insight and best practice to design, plan, and scope optimal product functionality
  • Maintain a strong controls environment, with a focus on data integrity checks, error handling and reporting to support the compliance requirements for direct and indirect taxes
  • Continuously improve the product to ensure the solution is flexible and scalable to meet changing business requirements, including but not limited to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, changing product lines and routes to market
  • Proactively maintain knowledge of technology innovation
  • Work closely with relevant business functions to develop/test new ideas and propositions for product development and obtain buy-in
  • Develop and maintain product strategy and vision
  • Translate product strategy into a product roadmap, identifying and generating new ideas that drive business value and improve user’s experience
  • Work closely with Architects and development teams to understand the technology enablers/constraints for new product ideas
  • Ensure communication around priorities, developments, and changes to stakeholders across the business
  • Build funding model/business case for new product development
  • Work closely with the Product Owners to ensure they have a good understanding of the new features/epics allowing them to develop user stories that will deliver what is needed
  • Support the Product Owners in prioritizing the product backlog for development
  • Act as a subject matter expert for development teams providing additional product insight as needed/requested by the Product Owners
  • Work collaboratively with other Product Managers to refine and priorities the overall product roadmap and identify dependencies
  • Ability to quickly gain the confidence of the business and colleagues through good communication and influencing skills and acting as an advocate of the Product Management team both externally and internally
  • Ensure effective leadership and management of the team and individuals; maintaining a continuous learning environment, setting clear objectives to ensure there is clarity on what needs to be achieved for any given initiative
  • Work with HR to develop upskilling/training opportunities to build and maintain a high level of skills proficiency in the team
  • Offer a supportive coaching style, proactively encouraging personal and professional development and achievement in direct reports
  • Build an effective and motivational team environment, aligning behaviors, values, and performance expectations across the team to deliver exceptional results

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years in a corporate IT environment working with multiple disciplines to deliver projects in line with Business strategic goals
  • Proven delivery excellence in successfully managing multiple complex projects at a global level
  • Minimum of 7 years technology experience in Finance and tax areas delivering of SAP and Cloud solutions
  • Business process knowledge/experience on US and International Tax
  • 7+ years of SAP S4 Hana configuration experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Food and Beverage Industry knowledge/experience
  • Project Management / Agile Certification
  • Power tax, OneSource, Corp Tax experience
  • SAP S/4 HANA on-Premise and Cloud experience

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

  • Must be able sit and/or stand for long periods of time, and work on a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly.

Location and Travel Requirements

  • Expected to travel approximately 25% percent of the time to our office locations
