Overview
Perform any reasonable duties requested by management, plus the following specific duties. Regular Attendance and Punctuality are essential functions of the job.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalency.
- Tool and Die Shop apprenticeship or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of metrics, trigonometry and geometry.
- Good mechanical ability.
- Ability to interact with other departments on a design level.
- Computer literacy a must, with 3-5 years CAD experience and ability to use CAD system to perform design and design revision. Must have knowledge of work processing and business system.
- Ability to perform all job functions of Tool Designer .
- Safety and quality conscious.
Responsibilities
- Layout and design dies, molds and other production tooling keeping costs in line with requirements.
- Edit, modify and maintain existing CAD data for drawings related to production tooling and machinery.
- Work with Tool Designer on assigned projects.
- Work from prints, sketches and verbal instructions to create CAD drawings.
- Keep current with technological changes in Mechanical CAD software and its capabilities, as well as trends in the Tooling and Machining industry.
Compensation: $30-$35
