Job Description:
The Inspector/Receiver is responsible for the physical receipt of product, general inspection, processing ERP transactions, and putting away material.
Responsibilities:

Verifying the accuracy of incoming components and raw materials to order documents

Responsible for dimensional inspection of incoming components
-
Match all packing slips with purchase orders and notify impacted departments of any discrepancies

Complete receiving transactions in the ERP System, the day components are received
-
Place all components and raw materials in the assigned locations
-
Complete Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR)
-
Use overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and forklifts to unload trucks
-
All other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or minimum two years of experience in shipping and receiving preferred

Must be able to pass truck and crane certification with training upon hire

Basic mechanical skills

Intermediate math skills
-
Computer knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other computer programs

Ability to use inspection equipment, e.g., calipers, tape measures, micrometer, digital protractor, dial indicator)

Ability to participate in minor data entry

Ability to read a tape measure
-
Ability to read a blueprint
-
Ability to use hand tools requiring dexterity

Computer knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other computer programs

Must be able to communicate effectively with factory supervision

Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Able to stand (75%); walk (20%); stoop, kneel, or crouch (5%), as required.

Able to wear safety glasses and foot protection throughout the shift.

Able to wear hearing protectors (earplugs) throughout the shift while working in an environment with moderate noise levels.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. At Gorbel, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

Inspector/Receiver: Min $17.59 - Max $26.39
Inspector/Receiver, Sr: Min $19.74 - Max $29.62
