The Rochester Center for Sexual Wellness provides medical and counseling treatment for common and complex sexual and relationship concerns in people of all genders and ages. The Center is comprised of a sexual medicine specialist as well as certified sex therapists and sex therapists in training. In addition to medical and psychosocial evaluation of sexual issues, we offer individual, relationship, and group therapy for a variety of sexual, gender, and relationship issues. In addition to our clinical work, we share a mission to provide education on sexual issues to the medical and mental health communities as well as to the public.
RCSW's culture is collaborative and nurturing as well as dynamic and entrepreneurial. We are a team of highly trained experts in our field, carrying or working toward certifications that recognize that expertise and depth of knowledge in a much neglected field of medical and mental health care. We follow the principles and ethics of the following national and international organizations: AASECT (American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists, www.aasect.org), MJCSM (Multidisciplinary Committee on Sexual Medicine, www.mjcsm.org), SMSNA (Sexual Medicine Society of North America, www.smsna.org), ISSWSH (International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health, www.isswsh.org), SSTAR (Society for the Study of Sex Therapy and Research, www.sstarnet.org), and WPATH (World Professional Association for Transgender Health, www.wpath.org) as well as the ethics of our respective professional licensing bodies.
