Function of Position:
Monroe Community College seeks an experienced senior level administrator to serve as Vice President for Administrative Services and Chief Financial Officer (VPAS/CFO). The successful candidate will have a strong financial and administrative background and demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic and complex community college that values integrity, excellence, empowerment, inclusiveness, collaboration and stewardship.
Monroe Community College (MCC) is entering its sixth decade as a premier two-year college within the State University of New York (SUNY) system. The Vice President for Administrative Services serves as the College's Chief Financial Officer (VPAS/CFO) internally and externally, reporting directly to the President. The major functional departments under the overall direction of the Vice President include Finance/Budget, Risk Management, Accounting & Cash Management, Technology Services, Facilities, and Public Safety. The VPAS/CFO is responsible for maintaining the College's fiscal health and efficient administrative functioning, and champions the College's overall mission, strategic plan, and goals. The new CFO/VPAS will be a strong communicator who is committed to advancing the success of MCC's diverse student population and the Rochester community and will have the skills, knowledge and ability to lead the financial and administrative areas of the College into the future. The VPAS/CFO partners with the President along with the Cabinet to facilitate progress toward institutional goals.

Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in business administration or related field, or bachelor's degree in business or related field with CPA, CMA or CIA from a regionally accredited higher education institution.Minimum of five years of progressive administrative experience with at least three of the five years in a senior level position.Evidence of effective interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to cultivate partnerships and to work with diverse groups of faculty, students, staff and external constituents on complex issues.Documented ability to integrate data into decision making to promote effective practice and policy.Preferred Qualifications:
Executive leadership experience in higher education finance and budgeting.Involvement with the accreditation process.Evidence of work in a multi-campus, comprehensive community college.Experience working in a college system environment.Experience working governmental agencies. with county and state.Bilingual and able to read, write, and speak Spanish or other languages proficiently.Effective presenter of executive level data informed budgets for the Board of Trustees and Executive Leadership. Experience in areas including collective bargaining and labor relations.
Additional Information:
Salary: Salary is determined based on experience, internal equity and college budget. This position has a range of $165,000 to $185,000 and is based on these mentioned factors.
Prohibition of Remote Work Outside New York State: Remote work locations outside New York State are not authorized by the College due to out-of-state tax and regulatory implications. In limited circumstances, prompted by business or operational needs, the College may approve requests to work remotely outside of New York State, on a short term, temporary basis.
