Function of Position:
The Part-time Receptionist/Clerk primarily supports the daily office operations for the Career Services Office.
Examples of Duties & Responsibilities:
Greet and triage students, check students in, schedule student appointments, enter appointments/walk-ins into HandshakeAnswer phone and return departmental emailsAssist with data-entryUpdate and maintain bulletin boards in the hallway and resource files in the Career LibraryAssist students in finding information in the Career LibraryOrganize files, re-stock inventory in the file room and the Career LibraryAssist with entering jobs in handshakePerform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned by Career Services staffMCC Expectations:

Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diplomaPreferred Qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communication skills and data processing skillsStrong customer service, public relations, and interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated learner, committed to working in a team environmentCommunity college experienceExperience with Banner and other software programs used by the College (such as Handshake, Slate, and Microsoft Office) Evidence of respect for and understanding of people with diverse backgrounds, abilities, and needs and commitment to supporting an inclusive environment on campusStrong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with students, parents, faculty, staff, and administrationBilingual and able to read, write, and speak Spanish, or other languages, proficiently
Additional Information:
Pay Rate: $20/hr
Hours/schedule: 20 hours per week. 8 week duration
